It’s even more fun coming home when these 3 are here to greet me.

Beautiful dogs, I’ve been thinking of a greyhound myself once I finish moving to the new place.

Yeah, I pretty much have to. Being able to have a dog was like 60% of the reason for buying a house in the first place, and greyhounds do seem like a pretty compatible match for my own personality & temperament.

Is your personality enjoy dogs that want to sit around and relax as much as you do? Do you like a dog that eats? Boom, greyhound.

Ah. I’m not sure of where you would go to get one. The furthest north I know of a track is Birmingham or Memphis and I don’t know how much further the rescue groups go than Tennessee. If you were around here I’d be able to help

A friend of mine used to volunteer at the NGAP center in Philadelphia, probably the closest. I’ll be moving in by the end of the month, have a few minor renovations to do on the ground floor, then should be all set.

My other concern is that the backyard only has a chainlink fence that seems kind of low, should I consider upgrading to a taller privacy fence?

I think a 4 foot fence would be fine, my husky/greyhound won’t exert effort unless there is a wild animal about.

Probably fine then, its a pretty dense suburban neighborhood, doubt there’s much around aside from the occasional squirrel.

We don’t even have a fence as we leash walk them but we have never had a problem with anything 3' or lower. They are runners, not jumpers.

Should be fine then. I’ve got a family room with its own zoned heating that opens onto a fenced backyard with a dog door, and the previous owners installed a spigot for an automatic water fountain in there for their dogs. Could be a pretty comfortable setup.
